Application

Interested vendors apply to Market Day via an electronic form on our website. That form is the only way to apply. Applicants provide information such as a description of their goods, photographs of their work, and biographical info.

Applying for Market Day is different than registering for individual Market Day dates. You do not apply for a specific date or set of dates, but rather to vend at any or all 2012 Market Day events, including but not limited to Black Friday and the regular season markets held May through October.

There is never an application fee.

Notification

Applicants are notified of their status on an ongoing basis in the order their application was received. Applicants are accepted, rejected, or placed on our wait-list.

Accepted vendors may register for any or all 2012 Market Day Iowa events. Vendors on our wait-list may have an opportunity to register for events as the season progresses, and will be notified if that opportunity arises.

Registration

Registration for all six dates of the regular season will open at once. Accepted vendors may register for any or all dates. Registration for a Market Day Iowa event is confirmed by paying your booth fee for that event. There is no way to reserve a booth at an event without payment.

New for the 2012 season, vendors will have an opportunity to indicate their preferred booth location for the event they are registering for. Booths will be assigned by organizers. Preferred locations will be considered, but cannot be guaranteed The sooner you register (by paying for your booth), the more likely you’ll be assigned one of your preferred spaces.

2012 Application and Registration Schedule

• February 15 - Applications open. Anyone and everyone may begin applying to become an accepted Market Day vendor.
• Ongoing – Notifications. Applicants will be notified of their status on an ongoing basis throughout the 2012 season in the order in which they apply.
• March 15 – Early Bird Application Deadline. Apply by March 15 and we guarantee notification by * March 19. If accepted, you will be part part of the Early Bird Registration group, giving you a two-week head start on booking for the season.
• April 2 – Early Bird Registration Opens. Registration for any or all of the regular season events opens for accepted vendors that met the early bird deadline.
• April 9 through End of Season – Open Registration. Beginning April 9 and continuing throughout the regular season, any accepted vendor may register for any of the six regular season events.
• Register as early as you are able, as, at our discretion, registration for a given month may be opened to the wait-list as the event nears.
