Shopping Tips

We want you to get the most out of your Market Day experience. Here are some tips we’ve collected so far:

• Bring cash! Most vendors deal in cash. A few take checks, especially for larger purchases, and a few take credit cards, but cash is always king at the market.
• Bring a big shopping bag! It’s good for the environment AND it gets you ready to shop. Don’t miss out on something special because you don’t have the right bag to get it back to your car. Many of our vendors provide bags and packaging for their goods, but if you find yourself picking items from a few booths, you’ll find your hands full fast!
• Two-for-one: Hit the Farmers’ Market early and catch Market Day right after! We start two hours later than the Farmers’ Market and run two hours longer.
• Ask about custom orders: Love a vendor’s goods, but not finding QUITE what you’re looking for? Many of our vendors do custom orders. They might even be able to get something ready for you to pick up at the next Market Day!
• Bring a gift list: got a few birthdays coming up, or want to get a jump on your holiday shopping? Bring a list and you can knock out a lot of your gift shopping at Market Day while supporting creative makers.
• ASK QUESTIONS! Our vendors are very knowledgeable about their goods and are always happy to answer your questions. You’ll love your purchase even more when you know the story behind how it was made, found or designed.
