About Market Day

Market Day is a pop-up marketplace for indie handmade and vintage goods. Our 2012 regular season events are held the first Saturday of each month, May through October, in the lobby and ballroom of the historic Kirkwood Hotel, also home to the Des Moines Social Club. We also hold an annual "Black Friday" sale on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Market Day is always free to attend.

Vendors must apply and are curated by the Market Day staff.

Market Day is the lead project of make\break, an independent arts organization led by Cat Rocketship, Scott Kubie, and Dani Ausen. This is the fourth season of Market Day.
